Based off of a sad spooky story about a woman who went missing from a nearby tavern in the 1930’s and later resurfaced 4 years later in Lake Crescent - oddly preserved and appearing as if she was made of soap. The actual depth of Lake Crescent is not known but estimated to be about 1000 ft deep (that’s roughly 100 stories tall, even taller than the Columbia Tower, the tallest building in Seattle.) Because of the incredible depth of the cold lake and a process called saponification that took place, she was able to be identified as Hallie Illingworth and her killer was later apprehended.
