Erica Rose Levine: Growing up in Rockaway we would spend every summer day at the beach. The ocean was a source of inspiration, reminding me of the beauty, strength, and wonder of nature. Beyond its beauty, the ocean gives us life by producing much of the oxygen we breathe, providing food for billions of people, and helping regulate Earth's climate. Protecting the ocean means protecting our planet's greatest source of life. We owe it to ourselves and all of the animals to make sure to take better care of the ocean.
