The Wolf and Orca are spiritual brothers of the coastal Pacific Northwest. Both apex predators travel, communicate, and hunt in highly organized, lifelong family packs. The black-and-white coloration of the killer whale is a visual reflection of the coastal gray wolf's countershaded fur. The sharp, triangular dorsal fin of a male orca is like the pointed ear of a wolf cutting through the water. Some say these animals are one in the same: a shape shifting spirit that takes the form of Canus Lupus to hunt and protect the coastal lands and forests and when they dive into the sea they transform into Orcinus Orca to patrol and guard the Oceans. One predator, two boddies, one spirit, two realms.
